Auro has 30+ years of leadership experience in biopharma, life sciences, and biomedical research. He was formerly Executive Vice President of The Jackson Laboratory (JAX) and President, JAX® Mice, Clinical and Research Services (JMCRS). Over 16 years at JAX, Auro led the transformation of JMCRS into a $500M (revenue) global enterprise. This represented 7x revenue growth and 12x earnings growth over his leadership tenure. He also drove JAX’s international expansion, established key partnerships in Europe and China, and led the acquisition of a company in Japan. In recognition of his leadership impact, Auro was named as a co-honoree of JAX’s Robert Alvine Family Endowed Chair.
Prior to JAX, Auro was Vice President for worldwide marketing and North American sales with Caliper Life Sciences (now part of PerkinElmer) where he led the launch of multiple new products and services. Earlier in his career, Auro served in positions of increasing scientific and operational management responsibility at GSK Singapore.
Auro graduated from the University of Science, Malaysia (B.Sc. Hons – Chemistry); holds a Ph.D. (Chemistry) from the University of Oklahoma; and has an executive MBA from Suffolk University in Boston.
